  Sara-Lynne Dewar

From a young age, Ms. Sara-Lynne loved to dance! She participated in ballet classes from age four and continued to learn other dance styles as she travelled internationally. Upon returning to Canada, she continued her studies to teach ballet. In 2004, her studio (Ballet Classique Methusela) opened with a vision to provide dance to all who loved the art no matter their ability, age or limitations. Through Ballet Classique Ms. Sara-Lynne strives to create an environment where students are challenged and the highest levels of technical accuracy is maintained without compromising the natural joy of movement and dance. Ms. Sara-Lynne is entering her third year as Calgary co-ordinator and rehearsal instructor for the Moscow Ballet.

  Shelby Jansen

Shelby has been teaching with Methusela since 2010 and adores working with the many different students that Methusela trains. Shelby has been trained in the RAD style of ballet and participated in both exams and competitive dance when she was a youth.

Now Shelby is continuing her journey as a dancer through a degree in performance arts at the University of Calgary. Aside from Ballet, Shelby also dabbles in contemporary, jazz, modern, musical theatre, and dance education. She believes very strongly in the importance of fun and respect within a classroom and the possibility of using dance to strengthen the dancer both physically and emotionally.
