| Introduction To Ballet (Age 3) and (Age 3/4)
This course is an introduction to movement and ballet in a light and inspiring manner. Incorporating plenty of sing-songs and imagination, our teachers strive to make an engaging connection with your child. Class sizes are small therefore providing for our students lots of personal attention. Our enthusiastic instructors provide loads of gentle encouragement in a confidence building environment. | Pre-Primary Age 4/5 Ballet
This level is based on the Royal Academy Of Dance Syllabus*, which aims to develop students’ physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression, and musicality. This strong foundation prepares students for a successful transition to ballet and other dance genres. | Primary Age 6 Ballet
This course is the next level, from Pre Primary Ballet, in the progression of courses based on the Royal Academy Of Dance* Syllabus. It focuses on further refinements and developing of students’ physical skills, creativity, expression, and musicality utilizing a range of musical styles. This strong foundation prepares students for a successful transition to ballet Grades One and other dance genres. | Grade One RAD Age 7
Provides a broad practical dance education, progressively developing the technical, musical and performance skills of the student. This grade incorporates Classical Ballet, Free Movement and Character. Classical ballet is the core of the grade one syllabus and allows students to develop poise, flexibility, strength and discipline. Free Movement incorporates movements in common with dance genres such as Natural Movement, Contemporary and Classical Greek. Free movement is based on the natural lines of the body, and trains the student to develop their own natural style of movement. Character is the theatrical presentation of national dance using traditional ethnic dance and music, which has been freely adapted for the theatre. Character dancing is important for the development of strength, rhythm and style. The style selected for this grade is Hungarian. This class is recommended for twice per week attendence and is appropriate for age seven. Prior ballet experience is helpful but not required.
